Project Engineer Training

The Project Engineer level training course is intended for those individuals,
such as field supervisors, who are responsible for planning and implementing
maintenance and inspection projects. These users also include the managers
who oversee project schedules, costs, and resources. They are responsible
for ensuring that field activity data is recorded and for analyzing project
data and performance.
From the perspective of PipeCraft, Project Engineer
level users ensure the accurate recording of all field activity data.
They perform data
analysis and generate reports based on the recorded information, and
schedule follow-up
projects that may be indicated by their analyses. They perform administrative
functions such as managing equipment and personnel resources, as well
as project contacts.
Project Engineer level users have read-only access
to the PipeCraft security functions and full access to all other functions,
with the
exception of
procedures, programs and budget activities.
The work of a user at
this level focuses primarily on the project and GIS functions of the
software, supplemented by the administration
tools
for managing project resources and generating reports. Therefore,
this course does not cover topics such as procedure, program, and
budget activities,
or the asset management functions.
