Expert Training

The Expert level training course is intended for those individuals who
perform the database administration activities within their company.
The responsibilities of these users include the following:
- Populating
the PipeCraft database with the company’s asset information
- Managing
security
- Setting up the PipeCraft GIS interface
Expert level users have limited
access to most PipeCraft functions, as their work focuses on setting
security levels, as well as performing
upper-level system integrity functions. These functions include creating
new pipeline
and ROW (right-of-way) systems, assigning inspection routes and resources,
and digitizing new pipelines. Therefore, this course does not cover
topics such as administration and asset functions. The work of data entry
and
data manipulation for these components is not included either as most
of the
data entry is performed by other personnel. These topics are covered
in the other PipeCraft courses, as appropriate.

The material for this course includes:

that builds on the digitizing material introduced in the Project
Engineer training level.
This includes an
overview of the different methods of digitizing in PipeCraft.
